EHC (Education, Health and Care) Plan

Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans

 

An Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 who need more support than is available through Special Educational Needs support. EHC plans identify educational, health and social needs and set out the additional support to meet those needs.

 

Cornwall Council’s SEN File is designed to support Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) and other professionals in meeting the needs of children and young people with SEN. There are links to documents which explain the process and criteria used by Cornwall Council (the local authority) when considering whether there is a need to undertake a statutory assessment of a child or young person’s SEN.
